How Does BidSlammer Stack Up Against the Competition?

When you arrive at the BidSlammer web site, you will notice that the site is very cleanly setup and very simple.

As a matter of fact, this site was the most simple to navigate and use. Even though it has most of the features that we wanted in an esnipe service, everything was setup so simply.

Nothing was complicated here, well, until you get to the searching, but we’ll save that for later.

The pricing was very fair as this service only costs 1% of the final auction price. The minimum fee $0.10, but that’s only if you loose the auction. If you win the auction, the minimum fee is $0.25.

The maximum that you could pay is $5 for a successful bid.

For the most part, the features that BidSlammer provides is put together better than most other esnipe services.

To Pay or Not to Pay for Searches, That Is The Question

Even though BidSlammer does offer search features, you have to pay to do them.

Each search is automated and costs $0.05 per day from your account balance. The minimum fee $0.25 per day with a maximum of $0.50 per day.

The upside to this is that the search will search more then E-Bay. It will search over 150 auction websites and notify you of your search results.

This search feature may be a good fit for some people. However, seeing that there are very good search tools available, I personally couldn’t justify having to pay for this service.

Navigating the Bid Slammer Site

Moving around BidSlammer was incredibly simple. The links were very understand and use.

When you first log on, you are directed right to the snipe page where you are to make your auction snipes. The only downfall here is that you will have to know the E-Bay auction number in order to make your bid.

However, there is a “SlamIt!” feature that is shown on the main snipe page that shows you how to snipe an auction item directly from the auction item web page.

The “SlamIt!” feature greatly simplifies the sniping process.

Bid Groups

BidSlammer’s support of bid groups was very easy to use. You can either use a previously created bid group, or you can create a new on the fly.

Each bid group created has its own tab that you can use to view all of the items in their past and pending snipes and their status. Keep in mind that when one item in a bid group is one, the rest of the snipe bids in that bid group are cancelled.

Conclusion

BidSlammer was definitely very easy to use. It was actually very refreshing to be able to see such a simple layout for an esnipe service.

The pricing was good and ended up being cheaper than most other esnipe services.

When it came to searching, this seemed to be the biggest downfall of Bid Slammer. Our goal in was to get all of the needed features in one place.

We’ve learned from our experience that if the search features are not included in the same place in the esnipe tool, that the snipe process becomes complicated with unnecessary steps.

When it came down to it, Bid Slammer wasn’t too bad of a service. If you are looking for a very basic esnipe service, you might want to take a look at this snipe service provider.
